An electric violinist is the answer when an acoustic violin would get lost: a loud reception, a beach party, a ballroom with three hundred people, or a stage with a DJ. The instrument sends its sound straight into the speakers, so every note carries.
An LED violinist goes one step further. The outfit, and often the violin itself, lights up. In a dark room it turns one musician into a show.
When to book an electric or LED violinist
- Late night slots at weddings and parties, when the lights go down and the dancing starts.
- Stage moments at corporate events: the opening, a reveal, a walk-up.
- Outdoor events on the beach, in the desert or by the pool, where an acoustic violin cannot carry.
- With a DJ. The violinist plays live over the DJ's tracks, so the party keeps its beat and gains a live lead.
Electric vs LED: what changes
| Electric violinist | LED violinist | |
|---|---|---|
| Sound | Amplified, clear over a crowd | Same |
| Look | Modern outfit, sleek instrument | Light-up outfit and details, made for dark rooms |
| Best moment | Receptions, stages, outdoor events | After dinner, dance floor, entrances |
Both use a sound system. We can supply it, or the violinist connects to your venue's setup.
The music
Electric violinists usually play over backing tracks: current pop songs, dance hits and party classics, plus anything you ask for. Send your list early if there are songs you must hear. You can also ask for pop covers for the reception and classical pieces for the ceremony from the same player.
What to check with your venue
A few questions avoid surprises on the night:
- Is there a sound system the violinist can plug into? If not, ask the team to include one in the quote.
- How dark will the room be? LED outfits look best after the lights go down. In daylight or bright ballrooms, a classic electric look often works better.
- Is there a noise curfew? Many outdoor and residential venues in Dubai have one. Plan the loudest part of the set before it.
- Where will the violinist play? On the dance floor, on a stage or walking between tables. Each needs a different setup, so tell the team in advance.
Female or male, solo or more
We book female and male electric violinists. For a bigger stage, the electric string quartet puts four players in front of the crowd, and the violin and saxophone duo mixes two lead instruments.
